Onapsis Launches New Product for Business-Critical Application Security with Onapsis Security Platform for Oracle E-Business Suite

Boston, MA – September 28, 2017 – Onapsis, the global experts in SAP and Oracle application cybersecurity and compliance, and Oracle Gold partner, today announced that it has extended the Onapsis Security Platform (OSP) to provide support for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications. This new product functionality will enable organizations using Oracle EBS to manage the security and compliance of these critical, yet complex, applications within a constantly shifting threat landscape.

Oracle EBS is considered the most, or one of the most, critical applications to the operations of many of the largest global companies. However, many of these organizations are currently relying on Segregation of Duties (SoD), GRC or database security approaches to protect their Oracle EBS implementations. This new version of the Onapsis Security Platform will allow organizations to bridge a critical gap in their current process and the ways that they secure these critical systems and data.

“At Onapsis, our vision is to secure the business-critical applications that organizations rely on to run their businesses. Since we launched the industry-first Onapsis Security Platform two years ago, we have had hundreds of customers – including many of the Fortune 500 – adopt the solution and transform their SAP security programs, while aligning their security, IT and audit teams. I’m extremely happy that we are able to take the next step in delivering on this vision and extend our platform to help the thousands of organizations who depend on Oracle EBS,” said Mariano Nunez, CEO and Co-founder, Onapsis.

Continued Nunez, “It is no longer an option for organizations to rely on existing approaches to secure their ERP systems and business-critical applications. They must develop a plan to operationalize security at the application layer to ensure that their corporate data and processes are safe.”

“Many organizations seek to more easily secure mission-critical business applications and lower their security cost of ownership,” said Mary Ann Davidson, Chief Security Officer at Oracle. “The security teams at Oracle and Onapsis have worked collaboratively for a number of years out of a shared desire to help our customers effectively increase their security posture.“

Before this public release, Onapsis had been working closely with some of the leading organizations in validating the approach and technology:

“Mitigating cybersecurity risks to our business-critical applications is extremely important. We have been fortunate to rely on the expertise of the Onapsis team, who have demonstrated themselves as leading experts in the field,” said Yury Velikanov, Oracle Infrastructure Engineer at TOP-5 technology company.

“Constantly working with IT Convergence customers, we usually receive security reports from other vendors and, by far, the report from OSP for EBS is the best I have seen in years. I will be working with the report on our internal development instance to enforce the security and also check for any missing validations we believe are important to consider,” said a DBA Senior from IT Convergence, who has been a beta user of the new product functionality.
