Mariano Nunez


As CEO and Co-founder, Mariano manages the strategic direction of Onapsis. A respected authority in the business-critical application security/SAP cybersecurity field, he was the first to publicly present on cybersecurity risks affecting SAP platforms and how to mitigate them. He is frequently invited to lecture at major security conferences such as RSA, Black Hat, SANS, SAP GRC and SAP TechEd, as well as at Fortune 100 companies, security agencies and military organizations. As an industry thought-leader, he was also the developer of the first open source SAP and ERP penetration testing frameworks. Mariano has been interviewed and featured in mainstream media such as CNN, Reuters, WSJ and The New York Times and was distinguished by MIT in its list of 35 innovators under the age of 35. Mariano holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and has completed executive training programs at Harvard Business School and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Juan Pablo Perez-Etchegoyen

Chief Technology Officer

As CTO, JP leads the research & development team that keeps Onapsis on the cutting-edge of the Business-Critical Application Security market. He is responsible for the design, research and development of Onapsis’s innovative software solutions and helps manage the development of new products as well as the SAP cybersecurity research that has garnered critical acclaim for the Onapsis Research Labs. He is regularly invited to speak and host trainings at global industry conferences including Blackhat, HackInTheBox, Troopers, and SAP TechEd/DCODE.

Prior to joining Onapsis, Juan Pablo led many Information Security consultancy projects for companies in Latin America, EE.UU. and Europe. His strongest experience is in the fields of Penetration Testing, Web Application Testing, Vulnerabilities Research and Information Security Auditing and Standards.

Ashish Larivee

Chief Product Officer

As the CPO, Ashish is responsible for ensuring that Onapsis’s products are continually evolving to reflect the latest developments in the Business-Critical Application Security market. She is responsible for planning product roadmaps and executing effective product strategies for the Onapsis product suite. With over two decades experience in the cybersecurity industry, Ashish has helped build new markets and products that have disrupted their respective markets. Prior to joining Onapsis, Ashish managed various products at Cybereason as the first executive hire and was instrumental in establishing the company and product as a leader in the EDR market. Ashish was also an early executive at Veracode and helped create the first SaaS-based application security service. Ashish holds a Master's Degree in Computer Applications and studied strategy at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Gordon Pothier

Chief Financial Officer

As the CFO, Gordon is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategy and future planning. He has over 25 years of experience at technology companies in a financial or operations role, ten of those years specifically in information security. Previously, he held the position of Vice President of Finance and Operations, with the prior role of CFO, at Bit9, where he helped scale the company from a 40-person startup to 1,000+ employee leader in the Endpoint Security market. Gordon has a Bachelor’s Degree and MBA from Bentley University and has had senior financial roles at Adobe, Nortel and Sybase.

Christopher Smith

Chief Revenue Officer

As CRO, Chris leads our go-to-market strategies for sales, marketing, channels and field engineering. With 26 years of industry experience, he brings a deep passion for building high-velocity, enterprise sales organizations at scale.

Previously, Smith was the CRO for Anomali where he accelerated revenue growth and led Global Sales and Field Operations. Prior to that he was the driving force behind Instart Logic’s global growth and entry into a new key vertical. Smith has a unique track record of multiple IPOs and four successful exits, namely, where he served as Executive Vice President at Invincea (acquired by Sophos), Vice President at ArcSight (acquired by Hewlett Packard) and Mercury Interactive (acquired by Hewlett Packard).

Victor Hugo Montero

Chief Information Officer

As CIO and Co-founder, Victor is responsible for developing, implementing and aligning IT and infosec programs with business objectives. During his time at Onapsis, Victor has held a number of executive roles, including COO and CPO. These roles, together with his 20+ years experience in the IT and InfoSec fields, have provided him a deep knowledge of the company needs, structure and internal processes, enabling him to drive enterprise value. His vision and capabilities earned him recognition as “Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year 2012” by the Endeavor organization. Victor holds a graduate degree in organizational leadership from Stanford University and an undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of Buenos Aires. He also completed the Entrepreneurial Ventures Program at Harvard Business School.

Selena Proctor

Vice President of Strategic Initiatives &
Chief of Staff to the CEO

As the VP of Stategic Initiatives, Selena leads the execution of strategic objectives to increase Onapsis's global awareness in the market. With over 11 years of experience in cybersecurity marketing, and a strong background in demand generation, Selena’s vision directly enables Onapsis brand awareness in the market. In her previous role at Core Security, Selena was responsible for fueling global sales pipeline, overseeing the marketing programs and customer events, as well as maintaining the marketing budget. Selena holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Ezequiel Gutesman

Vice President, Engineering and Security Research

Ezequiel leads the Engineering & Research Teams keeping Onapsis's products constantly redefining state-of-the-art in the Business-Critical Application Security market. He is responsible for the development of the Onapsis product suite and establishing the direction of the renowned Onapsis Research Labs, leading the strategy of the technical teams inside the company. He has given talks at multiple security conferences including Black Hat, Ekoparty, Hack.Lu and NoSuchCon, among others. Prior to joining Onapsis, Ezequiel led many information security research and software development projects. His strongest experience is in the fields of Software Architecture, Vulnerability Research, Web Application Security, Software Development and Software Quality Standards. Ezequiel holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science.

Pablo Valeriano

Vice President of Finance and Operations

With more than 20 years of experience, Pablo oversees Onapsis’s corporate finance and business strategy. Prior to joining Onapsis, Pablo served as a corporate finance and business strategy consultant supporting both senior management and boards of small and middle-sized companies. Past roles also include financial responsibilities at Cargill, Amazon and Ford. Pablo holds a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Buenos Aires as well as an MBA in Finance from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Jonathan Daly

Vice President of Marketing

As VP of Marketing, Jonathan has more than 20 years of software and cybersecurity marketing experience and is responsible for Onapsis’s global marketing efforts. His track record includes helping companies define and lead high-growth categories such as threat intelligence (IntSights), endpoint security (Carbon Black), penetration testing (Core Security), business intelligence (Endeca acquired by Oracle), middleware and SOA (Progress and IONA), and enterprise web 2.0 (Nexaweb). At IntSights Cyber Intelligence where he helped position the company as a leader in the next-generation enterprise threat intelligence market, working arm-in-arm with sales to grow pipeline by 400% in less than two years and driving the company to the #1 position in Gartner’s Peer Insights ‘threat intelligence services’ category. Prior to IntSights, he led product and solution marketing for Carbon Black, helping to define and launch the market for endpoint detection and response and creating the threat hunting category.
