Mariano Nunez - CEO
Mariano is the CEO and co-founder of Onapsis, managing the strategic direction of the Company. A respected authority on SAP Security, Mariano oversees the Company's strategic product and business development efforts to consolidate Onapsis as the leading provider of ERP Security solutions.
Mariano is credited for being the first security researcher to present on real-world threats to SAP systems. He is also the developer of the first open-source SAP & ERP Penetration Testing frameworks and discoverer of several critical vulnerabilities in SAP applications. Having previously served as Director of Research and Development at Onapsis, he laid the founding stones of Onapsis X1, the first comprehensive ERP security assessment suite, and Onapsis IPS, the first solution to detect and stop cyber-attacks to SAP systems.
Mariano has been invited to hold numerous presentations and trainings on ERP security in the most prestigious international security conferences, Fortune-100 companies and military organizations. He has been interviewed as an industry expert in multiple publications and news services, such as CNN, Reuters, IDG, New York Times and PCWorld, among others.
Mariano has received a host of awards for this innovation and vision. He was selected as "Innovator of the Year 2012" & “Top-10 young innovators under 35" in Argentina by the MIT Technology Review publication, as well as “Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year 2012” by the Endeavor organization.
Victor Hugo Montero - COO
Victor is the COO and co-founder of Onapsis, responsible for supporting the Company's rapid growth in a global market. Victor has a strong management experience combined with a deep knowledge of the IT security industry, which enables him to manage Onapsis' IT operations, back office, legal and financial processes, monitoring and improving the Company's operations performance.
With a strong focus on fostering an open and collaborative environment, Victor is responsible for safeguarding and evangelizing Onapsis's core values across the Company.
Victor's previous experience comprises opening and operating branch offices overseas, including developing and managing the go-to-market strategy and setting-up the necessary infrastructure to support the Company's growth. Since Onapsis was only a startup, Victor has led the Company to rapidly scale its operations and structure, effectively bridging the gap that enabled it to work side-by-side with some of the largest organizations of the world.
Because his vision and capabilities, Victor has been recognized as “Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year 2012” by the Endeavor organization.
Mr. Stad is a Partner and the Portfolio Manager of Dragoneer Investment Group. Prior to founding Dragoneer, Mr. Stad was a Portfolio Manager and the Partner in charge of the Investment Group of Santa Barbara's Hong Kong office.
Mr. Stad has also been an investment professional with Texas Pacific Group (TPG) in its North American Buyouts Group, and prior to TPG, was with McKinsey & Company in Los Angeles. Mr. Stad has also served as President of the City and County of San Francisco Finance Corporation.
Mr. Stad received his AB degree in Government from Harvard College and his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Co-Founder and Managing Director, .406 Ventures
Maria has been building and founding technology businesses for 20+ years. Her operational, entrepreneurial, and senior management experience in venture-backed technology companies includes two Massachusetts IPOs of the Year and the founding of two successful companies and a venture capital firm. Prior to co-founding .406 Ventures, Maria served as an SVP of VeriSign following its 2005 acquisition of Guardent, the market leading Managed Security Services provider for $142 million. Guardent was a Sequoia, Charles River Ventures and NEA-backed IT security company that Maria co-founded and led as CEO. In this role, Maria received industry recognition as "Massachusetts CEO of the Year" and "Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year," among others. Prior to Guardent, Maria was Senior Vice President responsible for sales and marketing at Razorfish, an IT services company that acquired her previous company, i-Cube, for $1.8 billion in 1999 where Maria led sales and marketing. Prior to i-Cube, from 1993 – 1997 Maria was responsible for North American sales at Shiva, the category-creating remote access leader. Prior to Shiva, Maria held sales and marketing roles at Lotus Development Corporation and Software City Inc. Maria holds an AB in English literature from Mount Holyoke College where she has served as a Trustee and as a member of the college's investment committee. At .406 Ventures, in addition to her investment activities, Maria manages brand building and deal flow strategy and currently serves on the boards of .406 portfolio companies Attend.com, AuthAir, Bit9, Kaltura, Mineral Tree, Onapsis, Pwnie Express, Threat Stack, Vaultive, Veracode and formerly served on the boards of Adtuitive, Digitalsmtihs and Memento until their respective acquisitions by Etsy, TiVO and FIS.
